We are pleased to announce that Jason Nesbitt will be joining us to add to our culinary experience at the Inn and our Blue Ocean Dining Room as our Executive Chef. We will have our culinary team in place to offer some Woody Point Magic this summer. Jason will work closely with the staff to provide some wonderful Bonne Bay tastes. Stay tuned.
Jason’s thirty year experience has taken him on a culinary adventure from Canada to Europe and back again working in all aspects of the industry from fine dining, large scale catering to intimate casual fare. He has since made his home in Bonne Bay, immediately embracing Newfoundland culture and traditions. As an avid gardener, hunter, and forager Jason spends much of his free time in the wilderness. This culinary raconteur seeks inspiration from forrest ,field and sea in an attempt to illustrate his view of this extraordinary place. His thirst for knowledge and desire to embrace this beautiful culture has him developing bonds with local farmers, fisherman , and artisans to promote western Newfoundland as a culinary destination.
Taking cues from his surroundings and Mother Nature Jason pairs local ingredients with globally inspired flavours and cooking techniques in an effort to put Bonne Bay on the culinary map.
