Charlie Payne is a man of many talents who lives in the cultural capital of Gros Morne National Park — Woody Point. This accomplished musician and artist owns and operates a folk art shop called The Hunky Dory. His creativity, ingenuity, and devotion to Newfoundland and Labrador culture and heritage is something to behold.
The Bonne Bay Inn & Seaside Suites are situated in Gros Morne National Park, Canada’s third most popular National Park. It surrounds our quaint, historic Seaside village of Woody Point. Stunning ocean and mountain views provide the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, and the perfect place to stay awhile to ease your mind, recharge & rejuvenate your spirit.
There are very few places where you can set foot on the earth’s mantle. But, here at the Tablelands in Gros Morne National Park, you can do just that. You can take a guided tour with Gros Morne Adventures — in partnership with Parks Canada — to hear a geological story half a billion years in the making. Or, explore it for yourself and get lost in awe at this colourful and unique landscape.
Woody Point sits at the edge of Bonne Bay, in the heart of Gros Morne National Park. This picturesque town is not what you’d call a drive-by destination. It is a place that weaves together our unique culture and evocative landscape to create an experience that will linger in your memory for years to come. Woody Point is just one such place in Newfoundland and Labrador, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the every day, and take the time you need to catch your breath.
